Seeing all these neck knifes got me thinking ....I want one. But a quick search made me realize Becker Necker may not be an option. I found one on ebay, but Im broke for the next 2 weeks. Anyone know where to get a similar knife if one isnt listed on ebay in a few weeks?

Looking on ebay I found cheap foot long tanto super tactical laser super awesome neck knifes....not what I want. I love the shape of the becker and If i cant get A becker I want a VERY similar one. Any ideas?

edit: Damn ignore the misspelling in the title...im tired.

one more edit: I found the Benchmade snody. Not exactly what im looking for(i.e. becker) but close

whew...ok maybe not 75 dollars. The one on ebay is currently 23 dollars, but I have a feeling it wont stay that way

an interesting one that incorporates the bottle opener but with a wharncliff style blade is the dogfish by CRKT.

Closest I've seen to the Becker Necker is the Busse Skeleton Warden, but it's even more expensive.

the becker necker's are great knives, and do seem to be getting a bit hard to find.... they hold an amazing edge.... the CRKT dogfish looks like an okay knife for the price.....:o

i have a becker necker with all the black coating removed, it is an extra, i'll let it go for cheap if you're interested... let me know allscared@yahoo.com

I've been kind of in the same boat. . . wanting a Becker Necker but not being in a position to pay the prices they're going for now, and looking for something similar. I like the CRKT Dogfish that was mentioned but it's a bit smaller than the Necker. I've looked at a couple of Benchmade knives as well, the Snoddy Instigator and Fixed Resistor. . . Which one were you looking at? Both seem more like fighting knives to me, but I've used a CRKT Companion in the woods and not had any problems with it. I've never used a knife with a wharncliff blade like the Dogfish and Instigator have, not sure if I'd like it. One other knife you might want to keep an eye out for is the Camillus Cuda Arclite. They don't seem to be going for quite as much as the Neckers, and there were several on ebay not too long ago. That's about as far as I've gotten in my search for a Necker or similar knife. I'll keep an eye on this thread though and see what other suggestions come up.

If you feel like spending $100, check out the Fehrman Thru Hiker. Before I found my Becker, I almost went that way. CPM 3V steel, and good reviews from those that I asked.

Is there any news as to when Becker might start producing knives again? Last I heard he had two different companies that where going to pick up production.

The Orion K2 is almost exactly the same size, but the design is a bit different.

the K2 orion is a great knife, especially for the $$$.... they did a passaround over at KF, so i got to play around with one for a few weeks...

did yours come with the kydex sheath.... i was using the micarta handled version.... it had a leather sheath....:D

Hey Guys..

mntfolk...

Are the Orions coming with kydex sheaths ??

I've got a couple of K2s coming this week..Looking forward in trying them out...

how much do the K2s run, I went to the website but they all have handles, can u get them without to save some $$

dont buy the CRKT dogfish neck, waste of money! i bent the tip pulling it out of the kydex sheath, i guess thats what you get with a $15 knife

Hey Guys

Paleo..

The K2 comes in a Cord Wrap as well...

If you want to call that a handle.. I do..

Take the 550 off and you'll be skeletonized!!
however the sheath make no longer work for you..

eric... how goes it...

the orion i used had micarta scales and a leather sheath.... when i spoke to one of the guys at orion, a while back, i told him that they should offer the cord-wrapped backpacker version, with a kydex sheath.... he said they had been thinking about it.... but i do not know what ever became of it....:o
