so guys what a good neck knife??
looking into getting one to?.
any help, like one that wouldnt bother me much

Lots of choices out there but I just got my Fehrman Thru-Hiker. Wow, I love this thing! It really has to be on of the beefier neck knives in existence and came with an amazing hair popping factory edge.

The Woods Walker is a good choice. The Buck Hartsook is a very good choice, too -- light, sharp, good steel. The sheath is a bit weak, but a quick tape wrap will hold it.

I have a Thru Hiker and I'm very impressed with it, but it's a bit heavy for a necker and it will need a bit of extra care because 3V is not really corrosion-resistant.

Spyderco has a couple of good ones. You may also find that some small folders work well in neck sheaths. (Normark has a nice selection.)

I've got a few even though i don't really like wearing 'em on my neck...
Buck Hartsook, Fallkniven WM-1, Spyderco Swick all come to mind....
the Fixed Subcom is a great knife but it's a little too heavy for my tastes for neck carry.....

Got afew neck knives and very handy when puttering around the yard when mowing or just puttering!!

Check the MAKERS forum, a few really nice and not too expensive neck knives. Just got one from John Barker and really like it.

Buck Hartsook ...bark river psk...crkt has one thats pretty nice,,,i forget the model...

IMO the SWICK is the perfect neck knife. Or as near as anybody's gotten so far. By definition a neck knife needs to be light and small, and the problem with small is lack of secure grip. Both in keeping the knife in your hand (and not being taken away), and keeping your hand from slipping down the blade and cutting the heck out of your fingers. The SWICK (and the older SPOT) are about as secure in your hand as you can get without gluing it to yourself.

The Emerson/Perrin La Griffe is pretty nice too. It might look goofy and uncomfortable, but it's really quite ergonomic. Grip isn't quite as secure as with a SWICK/SPOT, but it's lighter and easier to conceal.

I'm far from an expert in self defense or knife fighting or anything like that, but it seems to me that slashing would be a prefered use of a neck knife, since they're generally small and not the best for stabbing. That's why I like the SPOT/SWICK or La Griffe concepts. They're also flat. I see a lot of so-called neck knifes with a thick handle and that seems like the opposite of what you'd want.

The MOD Scorpion looks pretty interesting too.

neckers I have:
Burke PK1 proto
Burke Snitch
Simonich Crowfoot
Simonich Bitteroot
Benchmade 210
Strider ED ( works well as a necker )
Alan Folts Baby Bear

The Becker Necker and Camillus Arc Lite were great choices but now out of production. I would check out the Buck Hartsook and CRKT Dogfish. Both are small enough that you barely know that they are there until you need them.

I currently have a Fallkniveb G1 Garm Fighter for a neck knife, as well as a Tom Krein TK-2, and a Nemesis Knives Arch Ally.

The Becker Necker by Camillus was a great knife. Unfortunately, due to Camillus' closure, they are now difficult to obtain and the going price has more than doubled.
