Quick question. Who's got more than 30 neck knives? I really want to know who's got the most neck knives in the forum. Who is the Neck Knife Master?

Smoke,
I consider myself a neck knife nut. Only counting one of my own and not counting the ones in the shop, I only have 11! I count my Randall #10 as one because I made a Kydex neck sheath for it.
There are a few that I would like to buy but I dont ever think I'll ever reach 30!:-(

Dr. Lathe, I actually changed the number from 10 to 30, I figured 10 would be to small by BF standards.LOL

I have only a few choice neck knives left in my current collection, but they are excellent examples of the genre. Some others have been given away or sit quietly forgotten in the dark.

Those that remain and are carried regularly are:

A few of Fred Perrin's "Griffe's" and his "Subway Bowie", a knife Fred made for me in Paris earlier this year.

Rob Simonich's "Talisman", a piece Rob designed and made for me this past Summer.

A "Lil Blue" neck knife (designed for me by Ray) and a bone handled damascus tanto by Ray Kirk (Raker Knives).

There are a couple more which I eagerly anticipate in the pipeline (R&D stages currently) by well known and highly respected makers, and I will report on those down the line as they are received.

I am proud to own and wear all of the above as they represent excellent designs by excellent makers who also happen to be men I happily call my friends.

Certainly no king of neck knives here, just a couple production pieces, Blackie Collins design, CS, as well as a M.Pruident 'spike' and a couple hanging blades of my own, guess about 8 or 10 including some odd blades I made some kydex hangers for. What it did lead me to though was making kydex sheaths for the little NAA22. So maybe not the king of neck knives but maybe the king of neck pistols. :>

I don't ever get to seem to keep my neck knives long. Next year though, I am planning to build a neck knife to keep. It will be a "Patrolman" with a Talonite blade. It won't be for sale (if they want to order one fine). This will be one of two of my knives that I have ever refused to sale. I am really looking forward to it.

Sing,

Actually, the design is all Ray's. We spoke at the Blade Show, where I had purchased the damascus tanto neck knife.

I told him what I liked in neck knives etc and he surprised me by coming up with the current design, and its name.

I gave one in 52100 to Nemo to bring back to France for testing, and Ray made him a gift of it. Can't say enough good about the man.
