My learning curve here on BF is steep one, but I would add words from Mors Kochanski's Bushcraft on carrying a knife simply because I don't think this rationale has been mentioned so far. "One of the best methods in preventing the loss of a knife while carrying it is to use a deep sheath and wear it around the neck to be constantly aware of the knife's presence. When the knife is not is use the sheath is tucked in the shirt." Pocket clips have been a little unreliable as I go about my property trying to maintain it. Belt carry might not be the best solution given the riding mower, on off, seated positions. Canadians have discontinued the penny so I cannot say this is my 2 cents worth. But, indeed, that is all it is. Can't say I have the experience yet.
