Neck Knives?

Nice, I am looking forward to seeing this.

Nice, I like how ergonomic the handle looks.
How tall is the blade stock?

If we requested the slabs to be rounded some, would there be an up charge?

Blade is 1" tall. Not much to round on 1/8" handles. I'm not even sure if I will offer these yet.

Is a rounded spine more or less work than flat? If I were going to carry a knife like that part of the intended use would be striking a ferro rod. I like it, thin handle slabs and a simple kydex sheath should make it very portable and comfortable.

Really no difference in time on the spine. I'll get pictures of the sheath when it clears up outside

I`ll take better pictures when it`s not raining out.

Not a bad picture - very appropriate this time of year!

I will call you sometime later this week - maybe over the weekend - when is a good time since you are working 3rd I think -

Best time for me is weekday mornings or early afternoon. Weekends are full between working, errands, and trying to get some sleep.

The handle is unique in appearance. What's the inspiration for the shape? Do you have any pics in hand? Is it a comfortable 3-finger grip?

It's a 3 finger grip, I'll get a picture later. If you look closely you will see that it's just a stretched version of the Tin Knife.

I really love neck knives...my all time favorite is one I got from Charles May in s30v... I would be interested for sure in another one.

Looks like it should handle most cutting chores. One unusual way I use a neck knife is hanging one somewhere around camp high enough the kids can't reach it but low enough to keep my wife from asking me for a knife every time she needs to cut something. Thomas(my almost 3 year old son) has learned the word "need" and anytime I have a knife in my hand will tell me he needs one. My wife just rolls her eyes and walks away.
