Anyone actually carry them? As daily or more for certain tasks?

Pros? Cons?

If you do carry a neck knife, what one do you carry?

I carry one when I'm riding bikes with the kids. I've never had good luck with gym shorts and knives

I've tried but find it a very inconvenient way to carry a knife. If it's outside your shirt/jacket/outerwear it dangles freely when you bend over or move around, and if it's inside you have to reach under your clothing to access your knife. I'd much rather do a horizontal belt sheath or a pocket sheath for a small fixed blade.

I can see this. I don’t wear non belted pants/shorts often. But living in Texas it’s already getting hot. I know the next 3 months will be hell. So looking for a new way to carry.

I know a lot of guys who put small neck knife styles on the little ulti clips and do it that way. But I’m looking more actual around the neck ideas.

Neck knife death...

So many unanswered questions in that article. Tragic for sure. But celebrating a birthday. Had be been drinking? One speculation was he stumbled. Could imply intoxication. One speculation was the necklace itself was the issue. I will say I do not like the idea of a chain on said knifes. I’d tie paracord. Like the little kids bracelets. With 2 simple knots. 1. To allow adjustment. But 2. To prevent such issue. That much tension and it should extend itself.

I don’t drink. Haven’t in 2 years since I started carrying my CCW daily.

Not saying that’s what happened in his case. But things I that were possibly mentioned.

I occasionally wear one. However it always has a kydex sheath that fits well and clicks.
I have a little QSP Canary, which I love. It has a very positive click into its kydex sheath. With absolutely no play. I usually just throw it in a pocket. But have thought about making a paracord lanyard for it.

But yea. Quality kydex sheath with positive retention would definitely be a necessity. I like the CRKT minimalist (saw online) but that sheath looks like absolute trash.

I would never use paracord. I use a ball chain so if it snags the chain will break. I use a kydex sheath so the knife can't pierce the sheath.

If the ball chain catches your hair all you need to do is gut a short length of paracord a cover the chain.

See. I’ve always heard ball and chain can break. And it does. But in my experience. It takes a LOT. As a Navy Veteran. We all stopped wearing our dog tags for that reason.

When I was an infantry soldier all you could use was ball chain. If you replaced it with paracord you were on the list and let's not even talk about not wearing them.

It does take a lot to break but it'll still break before you choke out.

Depends upon how the choke is applied.

I have an ARK. Designed as a defensive last ditch. It's light and has an excellent sheath. It's not a common thing for me to carry. But it's not the same everywhere as it is here. There are places where I would have it on me.
