Ive been playing with some neck nasties lately
Specs for the Neck Talon
1/4" ATS34 chisel ground
60Rc edge, differential temper
30mm ring
suits forward and reverse grips (and works very well for pakal techniques)
Kydex neck sheath

Any plans on making it double ground ? I'd love to own a double ground version of her.

Peter, I see that most/all of your blades are ATS34. Nothing wrong with ATS 34, but do you use BG42 also?

Danbo.... D2 and ATS34 have been my steels of choice to date due to their great performance , however ive got a couple of bits of BG42 (in 1/8" stock) to give a try, ive also got a huge chuck of S30V on its way (for a couple of EVOs). Im happy to use BG42 provided i can get the sizes i need as ive heard alot of good things about it.
 
Again, this is not a bash on ATS 34, because ATS34 is good stuff when heat treated properly. I just believe that if you love ATS34, you will really love BG42, since it is basically the same, with the exception of 1.2% Vanadium and it being cleaner, since it is double vacuum melted. BG42 is my favorite, non powder metalurgical stainless steel.
 
I also like BG-42. My Sebenza sports BG-2 blade, and it holds a really mean edge. Very aggresive cutting material. One of my favorites. :cool:

could you do one with slight modifications, double ground and in RWL34? Could you email me with your price estimate on that?
