hey guys.

We're going to have a hammer-in at 361 Collins Corner Rd Dartmouth MA at the High Hill Fox and Coon Gun Club. (so we can't have any booz on the club grounds due to regulations:eek: ) Make sure you all bring safety glasses please:cool:

The fees are $30 for non members and $15 for NECKA members

I'll have more info up about demos and such soon. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER FOR A DEMO IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED, AND IDEAS OF DEMOS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED TOO!
 
hey Mike
if I can gather up some started work to show the different stages I'll see if I can do a sheath Demo also. the last couple I did seemed to go over well..

the heat treat would dispel some fears of using O/A for hardening,
I can show a full quench and a differential quench,
if I have time ,
I'll show how I water tube differential temper also, it is different..and very easy to do..and you don't have to worry about the edge over heating this way ..
as long as mikes O/A set up has the volume that Mine has ..
come to think of it I can bring my hoses and stuff less the tanks,, that's a no no in the car..

Right now I am not a member, and I don't mind paying for my Wife and 17yr old Son to attend.

if you join your family can come at no cost
bring them with you and join at that time.. you save money by joining.

we are still working on demos so they will be added as we go..
This will be held at a Gun club so there will be no drinking on the property
it will be as safe as can be and comfortable for the kids and Ladies also..

also it looks like this will be the place and date for future hammer/ins for Necka for this one in Mass..
others at other places in other states
will be set up so travel for some will be easier
and that will allow us to spread out..we have a lot of plans in the works to unfold
I think we have a count of
9 now
and we anticipate gun club guys joining durning the H/I also,, welcome Guys.. :thumbup:

numbers are coming up for the Necka H/I :thumbup:

we sent out 45 emails yesterday.. to past members that dropped out a few years ago, because of things not going as planed for in 2002 and to others that were thinking about joining back then and to some that are just on the fence about it now... if they have/had a current email with us. only one has been returned as of today..:thumbup:
Current members will be getting a different letter also,
so ..
email with your interest or concerns, there's no need to post here if you feel uncomfortable doing so.. we've made a decision not to post who has signed up on these forums,
of course you can post here if you'd like that is up to you...

we have over a month yet.

the place we have in Mass will hold 120 people
no more tent rentals
or renting porta johns
so the price of the H/I will be less for current members, food included

Remember,
You will need to bring REAL safety glasses ( with side shields) or a face shield! We don't want anybody getting hurt.

Knives, Hammers, fire, lots of room, good food! What a deal!

thanks for the emails :) yes, some things we just have no control over, :( it's just the way it is..:) it's like the 8th wonder of the world, you just wonder at it..in bewilderment, :o

I'm going to be tied up for the next few days I have a Knife to finish up while I'm home this week, so email Mike if needing to.
