We're going to have a hammer-in at 361 Collins Corner Rd Dartmouth MA at the High Hill Fox and Coon Gun Club. (so we can't have any booz on the club grounds due to regulations ) Make sure you all bring safety glasses please

Dude I wish I was going... ought to be a blast! Make sure and tell Jim Siska 'hi!' from that the skinny kid with the big nose from Ashokan! I'll miss seeing him again...

they were good Dogs :)
they were just suppose to be red, I got the wrong companys dogs, I mixed up Jordan with Rice :rolleyes:
 
come on now. 'm gonna sleep i that truck damnit..... hey wait we don't need to do that untill ashokan.
me and matt can share the glove compartment. keep warm that way so i won't need to wake up cold and shivering and start mace's truck every hour.:cool:

alright guys so who's coming to this one!?!?! lets get some reponses here. gonna be an awesome time. we're rafffling off Mace's truck at the end of the day. well maybe not the truck but the use of his back seat at ashokan.

Necka guys and new guys thinking about joining.
to set some guys minds at ease as to what Necka is doing behind the scenes.
I will add to the necka site ASAP some very important updates as to insurance to the tune of 1 Mill in liability, we are just waiting for the policy to come back now.. we've been just asking guys to sign a waver of injury in the past but to find out that any lawyer can blow holes all through those, they are really useless .:o

also just food for thought if anyone is thinking about starting
a new club.. I hear there is a new one in VT..
Necka is now listed legally as a Non profit organization with the IRS. the way it was set up unbeknownst to me, in the beginning when some paper work was set up at the bank, IF we were audited by the IRS someone would have been paying some taxes,
and some stiff penalties. not a good thing.. get some legal advice first it could save you some big problems later...

also necka has now it's own Paypal account,. we hope to have a online store for necka tee's, members knives and such things..
I just need to ask Bill Vining to see if we can get a necka email address to put on the pay-site for Necka.. currently it's under my email address and costing me :o
I know bill got frustrated where there wasn't much use with the site in this manor, but with the paypal set up I hope we can make things a little more in auto mode..

remember necka members get into the H/I for just $15.00 the over head is less now so we can offer that and we have over head a lot of it at the gun club..parking, tenting .. I guess that's about it for news..we are going to have a good time.
mike if you have some high carbon blades bring them to add to my O/A heat treating also can you bring a toaster oven with a good thermometer? I can bring mine if you can't, I'm just going to a have a car load..
are you guys interested in water tubing the knifes edge for a perfect temper line and protection from heat transfer.. let me know, we can do that also.
I have a lot more info to add but I'll bring that to the hammer-in..

OH I almost forgot , we can take up to 120 guys inside, so no limit on attendance, I know we have some guys that are just going to show up, so it don't matter come one come all.. but if you want to be garaunteed food, I'd sudjest speaking up very soon..

email any one of the BOD's Myself, Joe, Mike, Paul, Jim, and maybe another added during the H/I ???? I will say he likes Pink hot dogs :D

as far as a blade, i think i can grind something out, if not i know paul always has a few in the works.

sorry about the toaster oven but i only use my home oven.
make sure you bring your torch set up. i should have plenty of gas to HT a few blades
 
hey if anyone has a large hammer or two bring it, we can recruit some poeple to be strikers to draw out some cable damascus when we're done foring it.
should be a cool little team work job

I've been stuck at the rent since Tuesday and will be heading home tomorrow after 3:00, it's a two and a half hour ride, and 4:00 AM will be coming soon after I get home and get all packed up. I'll see if I can get a couple blades ground out too that will just take a few minutes :) ..

maybe I'll being one or two of those junk Blanks I got sent also, to show how wrong something can go too..:( :)
can you get some name tags?

and are you going to take care of the guys showing up? money names and so on? I'll be there around 9:00 AM if I don't get lost :o :) it should be a 5 hour ride or so I think..please take down the guests names and info also..
