Necker 2 update request

What's mine really means its hers anyways.

I learned that a long time ago as well... and she reminds me from time to time. What's mine is hers, and what's hers is hers.

Man, there is a lot of interest in these next batch of N2s... I really hope I'm able to get my hands on one.

No joke!
I was hoping to get two of them, 1 for me and 1 for my dad, but it doesn't look like that'll happen unless I'm super quick.
He has been hinting that he wants another Navy branded Kabar but I really want to get him hooked on these knives. I think he could wear a suit with a Necker2 and not have a problem. It'll beat the hell out of the cute little Gerber folder that he won't get rid of.

I'd like to know where mine is...haven't heard a peep since I ordered it (on time while in stock).

Since Ellie is saying 1-2 weeks, I'd imagine you'll see your N2 right around that time as well as the 2nds will come once production is completed from material that didn't pass their QA inspection.

so the 15-20 business day quote provided by them is actually more like 40-45?

I'd shoot Ellie an email. If it's an oversight, she'll be the one you want to contact.

We gave a 15-20 business day window because we knew we still had GSO-5 orders to fulfill, as well as GSO-5.1 preorders to work on. Guy should be getting the last of the Necker II blades sharpened over this weekend. They build a lot quicker since there are less options to look out for. Any existing Necker II orders should have a tracking number from us early next week.

That's great news! Thanks Ellie!

Small delay on those, our power went out last night and wasn't on again until late this morning. Guy is back to the sharpening line and I will be working on shipping labels in a few minutes.

Awesome news for everyone! I hope I can snatch up one from the next small run.

You're referencing the knives that we were told were going to be finished this past weekend?

I got my shipping order today for my Necker II! That is the good news.

The bad news (and this might get uncomfortable) is I finally got my GSO 5 and I moved it along to a fellow board member. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I can see how people love these knives but the boxy design just wasn't for me. Didn't feel natural in my hands.

My overall Survive! reaction is thus:
Pro's are customer service, choice of handles, quality of sheath
Con's are endless wait, clunky design, and the CPM-3V seems overhyped in my opinion. In a blind test I doubt I could tell the difference between CPM-3V and other tool steels.

But, I am still looking forward to trying out the Necker II !

What?!!

Ok ok, this is the internet so I suppose you can think whatever you want :D

Really though, great news on the necker II! I'm watching anxiously for the necker II's and 5's to all get out so the starter models can start rolling out faster!
