Here is one of my first Carter Pattern neckers. the first generation I guess you could say. there have been several very nice upgrades since then mostly the kydex sheaths fit way better now {not that they were all that bad to begin with}, and I would like to move this one and 5 others on my website out to make room for yet another generation to come in a month or so, so I am throwing my very first sale that I remember, and offering this one and the other 5 for $75 plus $5 for conus shipping!! to see the others, visit the available neckers page on my website listed in my signature.
Sale is over, all of the sale ones have been sold!
this one is a super light, nice and thin, light to medium use utility knife, for daily cutting uses such as opening mail, trimming fingernails, peeling an apple, making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ect...
OAL- 6 1/2"
blade- 3 1/4" long, .061" thick at the spine, .028" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .012" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 7/8" wide
steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench { most of the blades width on these narrow blades} and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!
grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a Smiths 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge
finish- a45 and blue scotchbrite belt finish
handle- Birdseye maple with brass pins. handle is finished with 400 grit with the lines running crosswise with the handle for a nice looking handle that isn't slick
sheath- .060 thick kydex with small black rivets. stripped paracord, easily adjustable, and I can cut it for my new safety feature if you like.
weight - 2.40 ounces for the total package of knife, sheath and cord. That's about the weight of a Zippo lighter!!!!!! for the WHOLE PACKAGE!!
I did a few videos on youtube on my 2 new lines of neckers:
to explain what I am after in a neck knife https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cgJQJY-gAU
and a destructive test of the Carter style necker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONC3lOkoC9c
$75 plus $5 for shiping/insurance to CONUS. I can accept paypal Joe357m@bresnan.net or money order.
This one is SOLD!!!
