Getting everything lined up for my disc grinder build and have decided I want to use a steel disc instead of aluminum. Rob at Beaumont only has aluminum listed on his site. Anyone know where to find a 5/8" keyed steel disc?

Thanks!

Jon- K&G carries them also, and might be a little cheaper/faster on shipping since they could probably throw it like a frisbee and get it to your door. ;)

RW Wilson also sells them, and offers one with a half-degree taper (or used to anyway). The one I showed you guys on my machine is FLAT, the disc I showed you guys that was sitting on the big fab table has a 1 degree taper...

At this rate, you'll be forging and making damascus before we know it!!! :D

I've got the ones RW sells that Nick mentioned above, the ones I have, got the taper.
The cool thing is RW leaves them a hair small inside at the end of the bore. Light mallet
taps at the end and they usually run pretty true. Around $125 right now.
Ken.

Thanks guys! Anybody have contact website or info for K&G or Mr. Wison?

Nick.....damascus? seriously? :D Maybe some day!

You could also make your own with that new mill you bought awhile back. I have an older disk grinder with a 12" disk, and it uses a standard $10 bushing to mount the plate to.
