need a good place to by A2 tool steel, can not find 3" wide in 5/32". Anyone know where to get it?

A local manufacturer to me Precision Marshall sells it. http://www.pmsteel.com/ Not sure about the competetiveness of their pricing. According to their sheet, 5/32" 3" wide is available in 18" & 36" lengths for $86 and $155 respectively.

Aldo normally carries it but he's showing out of stock right now. Others say you can call Aldo on the phone (you know, old-school style of doing business) and he quite often will have something on hand that doesn't show up on the web site. It ought to be worth a try.

If you go to Aldo's website, go to the drop down menu and click on overstock items, then click on the item listed it gives you some drop down options and he has A-2 in 5/32 X 3" X 18" long. At least his site shows he has it.

Mcmaster-Carr has it in 4'' if you can live with it being wider.You'll get what you pay for with them.
