Need a Knife for a VERY niche function

i'm sure a mora would do well

besides it is not as if you must cut into the wire and damage the knife

if you bump into the wire, you are supposed to hold back and strip the wire instead

and not damage the knife

Thanks, Esav. The 906 is a delight to use, it's become the real "workhorse of the workshop" here.

No drawback on sharpening though if you can go with a less than optimal edge. Just sharpen to an acute secondary bevel. Get a bit more strength at the edge that way too.

I've certainly been known to do just that, but knowing it's heresy to the Scandi knife purists, I was waiting for someone of your stature on the forums to make the suggestion.
