What you need is a long Ginsu. Actually I am somewhat serious. Go and get several big serrated kitchen knives from Goodwill or Salvation Army for about $1.00 each. The soil will dull them fast. Simply discard them when they get too dull. It is more trouble and expense than it is worth to resharpen cheap serrated knives. I don't think even premium blades will stay sharp sufficiently longer than a Ginsu to be worth paying more than $1.00 a knife.
