Just got a beautiful Lambert fixed blade. I would rather go with leather since that is what Lambert normaly uses. But because this blade is so thin at the tip (will be bouncing around in a backpack and maybe tacklebox) and it will be for mainly food prep and saltwater fishing, I think kydex is the way to go (leather makers convince me I should go with leather). The blade is .065" at the thickest part the handle is around .315" towards the blade. the blade is 3.7" from handle to tip with about a 3.5 inch cutting edge. The blade is 1.1 inches thick. Anyone who would like to do the work let me know or would like suggestions on good sheath makers. I realize I will most likely have to send this knife out to the maker. I work nights so I might not get back to anyone until tomorrow. Thanks!
