I love my Fehrmans......I don't have any of the smaller ones, but I do have a Proto First Strike, Proto Final Judgment, Beater FJ, and a beater Extreme Judgment.

Nope, that's the satin version. Eric offers black coating or satin on most of his blades (thruhiker only comes coated)... :thumbup:
Oh, and the satin costs more of course.

the satin on the fehrman website looks more matte.

Yes it does. But out of all 6 Fehrmans to cross my path, Extreme Judgement, First Strike, Peace Maker, Last Chance, Shadow Scout and ThruHiker all the satin ones were like the one in my picture. Shiny!!

Ben, a Fehrman would be a good choice. You held mine before I sent it off to Yager, so you know it's built like a tank. You still hafta take Cliff Stamp's review into consideration, but know that Eric Fehrman stands behind his product much the way Jerry Busse does, so you'd be fine.
What it comes down to is this: what would you rather have? The aesthetics and "overbuilt" quality of a Busse, or the sheer "Glock" simplicity and ruggedness of a Fehrman?

So here it is for me: Pretty much anything I can do with an SFNO, I can do with a BATACLE, EXCEPT chop, correct? I just got an amazing SFNO variant, but it's to be a safe-queen. So should I just grab an FBMLE before they're gone and be happy with it? That will make my collection a satin/tiger warden, satin/tiger cultie, BATACLE, FBMLE (all users) and the Nuke Badger and clip point SFNO (safe queens) and that'll be it for me for awhile. What do you think?

I think you should give an SH-E some thought.
Or, just possibly, something like an HHFSH or HOGFSH. SH is thinnest; HH is thicker; HOGFSH is ... well, pretty ridiculous.
Darn good choppers, just not as big an beefy as the FBM LE. And not necessarily tremendously expensive.

I've done serious damage to the environment with my favorite user HHFSH and did not feel under-choppered!

Damn! Those are some good looking blades.
Also on the Fehrmans....the EJ from JN22 is the only "true" satin one I have had.....all others are what we see in Busse double cut.
And piss on Cliff's Review of the EJ, my EJ has taken a beating and still going strong.

Uncle MOFO? C'mon now, those things are near impossible to find, no? 
As for Cliff Stamp, I know he doesn't have a lot of fans on here, but he did get the Fehrman to chip, which kinda steered me away from my LC. Maybe I would NEVER get the same results, but I hafta say, I'd probably be more comfortable with a Busse. Call me crazy...

You know though, you are absolutely correct! I had one, it out chopped an HH I had. VERY comfy and efficient. Eli has it now, and if he ever parts with it, I'm on IT!!
