Need a new flashlight..

Fenix makes some relatively inexpensive lights compared to Surefire + Upgrades.

Sure you can achieve crazy Lumenatic achievements, but do you need it? Some do, I don't!

For around $70-80 you can get a Fenix TK11/12 with a R5 Emitter. That is a heck of a deal for 280 Lumens of throw(Large reflector= more throw)

Also look into 4Sevens for lights, their Mini AA light is a MONSTER paired with a Lithium Rechargeable battery. 260 Lumens of Flood in that finger length light! Only $35 if you use cpf8 coupon!

I love my Fenix ones.
Especially since I can pick up AAs anywhere and they last a long time and are super bright.

My current camp/backpack carry is a Fenix PD30 R4 265 Lumen. Just over 4 1/2 x 3/4 inches. Uses 2 x CR123A's. Bought for about $50. Small, powerful, inexpensive and decent quality. Can't beat it. My Steripen also uses CR123A's so I only need one type of spare.

Have a PD20 also for EDC.

I prefer American made single mode lights. You push the button and you get ALL the light EVERY time.

you can never go wrong with the olight m20. i have the R2 version. im not sure if they revamped the reflector to optimize the newer xp-g leds. but ive never had a problem with my M20 and use it all the time. you might want to check into 4sevens maelstrom G5. it was designed from the ground up to utilize the xp-g emitter and has amazing throw. the beamshots ive seen put the M20 to shame.

I vote for Novatac...I use their EDC 120, and they have some new models on AA's too.

You buy Busses... Tough as HELL and made in the USA.

Do the same for flashlights and buy RA LIGHTS (aka HDS Systems). The Ra Twisty is enough of a pocketable light, designed and assembled in the USA, can use CR123A or 18650 cells. And it's TOUGH!

Oh, and Buy Brown makes holsters for them. Thanks Dave!

Big +1

I have 10+ surefires and many Malkoffs to drop in, but for what its worth I love my Ra Clicky 170T and have EDCd it daily for close to a year.

Great great choice!

There's probably a 4sevens quark light that runs on one or two cr123 batts that would be worth considering. I have the single AA version and love the moonlight mode. My favorite edc light though is the nitecore D10 by far.

I will go ahead and suggest one of the ones you listed. A friend and I have been carrying Olights for about a months now and they are worth the money. As for the other two I have not tried them but I can vouch for the Olight.
