I just got a benchmade mini onslaught and its just too mini so I had to give it to my girlfriend. I don't want the full sized onslaught because I would probably break it. I really want to get my hands on a Benchmade 760, or an emerson CQC 8 but my budget is around $150. I just want a solid knife with an awesome steel. I was thinking about going cold steel but most of their affordable knives are made of aus 8 which is a little under par for a premium steel. I either want a good solid tanto or a large belly flat grind blade. Any advice?

I am not surprised that you didn't like the mini-onslaught. I am not really a fan of smaller blades either and I am unsure of why some people rave about them. The saying is " The bigger blade can do anything the smaller one can do but also things that it can't".
Zero tolerance has a big, broad tanto.

I really like the mili and I am actually debating on settling for it. It is a super practical knife but I want something a littl emroe exotic looking. I have a police model but its a combo edge (i got it like 8 years ago). Still sharp tho. I also have a Benchmade 710 which is amazing... I got it with a combo edge but i hoaned the serrations off so now the serrations look more like a surgical tool. As for the manix its too small for my liking although I do like the leaf shaped blade... I was looking also at the spyderco borong by ed schemp but i just cant seem to get over that 4 inch blade with a 3 inch cutting surface. Bah! I hate being so picky!
