Need a new fully serrated tactical folder

Don't forget that there are people who have serration cutting machines. This thread really makes me miss the BM AFCK FS I had 10 years ago.

This is true, I hate to give up my Emerson's but I really want a fully serrated knife. I'll look into this as well but I think I am just looking for a reason and justification to get another knife.....my wife is going to murder me.

+1 on the Manix 2. I carry and use one quite a bit. The Police is too long for me to consider it as an EDC. Don't forget that the Endura and Delica are also available with FS

I'd love me a FS Super Commander!

I'll tip up and wave it for you!

I don't really understand what you mean by "tactical" knife, but you did also use "self defense" knife, so I would agree with the Spydie Civilian as a good knife for that application. But if you want to use actually use your knife on occasion, then look for a Spydie sprint run Matriarch w/serrated edge (they also come PE). The blade is a bit thicker so it will hold up better than the Civilian.

I agree on the matriarch. I waved one for a member here a while back with good results. I cut the hook geometry just right to pop caps on most bottles.

I just bought a civilian and a matriarch. I used money that I had put away for a wilderness nav course I was going to attend next month. I get paid tomorrow so I should be able to recover the funds but its still all of you guys fault.;) Its spring break-up from work so I am off for a bit, hope fully I can intercept the mailman before he gets to my door or it will be spring break-up from marriage.

I am in no way affiliated with Knifecenter. It's just the best pic I could find.

What do you guys think of the Spyderco Civilian fully-serrated for a defensive role? i'm not sure about the blade shape but it looks like it may be a good cutter?

If you use that knife on someone, be prepared for a lengthy vacation at the penitentary closest to you.
I was just getting ready to suggest the Civilian. It is a single purpose knife and would be hard pressed to act as an edc. If ever used in a situation that requires law enforcement to investigate, you will probably lose your knife for a while, if not forever.

Knife? For a while? Try your freedom and forever. Just sayin'

That civilian just looks like trouble, not sure how you could carry it and justify it as a tool if need be. Just my two cents...

I hope I never have to use it but if need be self defense is a right never to be denied. If my life is in danger it won't matter if it's a knife, gun or frying pan it will be used. The police won't make any decisions the judge will. As for carrying it, it looks like a great tool for cutting myself out of my seat belt in case of car accident. That's my story and I'm Sticking too it.
