I've got a shirt that's been floating around for many, many years. My brother got it when he was stationed in Germany. As I recall it was one of those get drunk and swap shirts and uniforms with the Germans kinda thing.
The front of it reads:
Begleitbatterie 5
III.Zug
(caricature of troops in a bunker firing weapons)
15 MONATE HATTEN WIR EINEN GEHEIMEN
AUFTRAG, ER WAR SO GEHEIM, DASS
WIR BIS HEUTE NICHT WISSEN WAS WIR TATEN.
GieBen
BACK OF SHIRT READS:
RESERVISTEN
(Caricature of troops with lots of weapons from guns to battle axes)
Unsere Uniform konnen
Fuchse tragen,
uns juckt nichts mehr
mit ooo Tagen!
I./Quartal 88
I would greatly appreciate a translation of this one. My eight year old son is quite interested in it, and I'd like a translation for him.
Huh...gee....hopefully I didn't just type a dozen lines of German obscenities onto the Community Forum....
