Need a recommendation for a "formal wear" knife

Victorinox alox solo with the old cross. Weighs nothing and rides wonderfully in the back pocket of suit pants. Not easy to find, but all class.

There are some nice traditional slipjoints that would fit the bill. Other options would be the Spyderco Air

or the Benchmade 480-1

I'd get an Alan Davis custom. They are affordable and he can make a beautiful gentlemen's knife.

I like this one

I agree with lambertiana benchmades 480 with wine wood or the CF is one sweet little knife definately goes with a suit/tux

Funny you should ask...I was at a black tie affair last weekend and I had a CF Millie tucked in my waistband all night...no problem at all...and I'm not exactly svelte...lol

Thinking about traditional slip joints you may want to tae a look at the Great Eastern 06 Pemberton or a Case peanut. They both work well with a suit.

Sog SlimJim?? i like mine especially when you don want alot in your pockets
