I need to have some knives sharpend. I suck at sharpening and would like a pro to sharpen them. I have no idea who to send them to, if you know someone please let me know. I dont know anyone in my area.

Thank you

if your open for someone less known, I have a friend who does amazing grinds. His flat grinds are great but Convex is where his skills really shine

You've probably already heard it a million times, but perhaps you ought to try a Spyderco Sharpmaker. I just bought one a few weeks ago and I'm pretty impressed. Easy to use and definitely worth a look. Another option is sending the knives back to the manufacturer for sharpening (usually a small fee plus shipping...)

I have a Spyderco sharp maker and cant seem to bring a dual knife to being sharp. All I can do well is touch up sharp blades. I really suck at sharpening.

Its good if you can find someone local to pay and sharpen your knives, but honestly its worth the investment in time to just learn to sharpen freehand properly so that you are self-reliant. Knives sometimes tend to go dull when you need them sharp, and waiting a few days or weeks to ship them away is not convenient.

I kind of liken this to owning a car, but not having a drivers license.. its fine if you can afford a paid Driver to take you around in your car.. but when he is on holiday or you have pressing business it sure helps if you can drive your own car. ;)

I'm not trying to put you down or anything 86' Just a plain honest opinon on knife use. You dont need to be stellar, just need to get results that work for you.
