Recommendation? Need a recurve

Emerson will resharpen them for you. If you do go to a professional sharpener just make sure he knows what he's doing.

I didn't know emerson can sharpen them for me. Thank you so much, that actually makes it so much better
 
Quite a few (too many?) Ken Onion designs have recurve blades. The ZT0350 is a tough knife for his use. But the tip isn't what I'd call pointy. The Kershaw Scallion is a smaller knife with a pronounced recurve. It doesn't look that tough, but I haven't broken mine. The Blur is a larger, tougher version. A friend beats his Blur up pretty bad at work. It keeps on going. If you want to try a Benchmade, the North Fork is a recurve.

Hmm, it appears that I own a few recurves in S30V.

If he liked the Commander knock-off, he'll love the real thing. You did mention, though, he didn't want to beat up on a Cold Steel cause it was too nice. Are you sure he won't safe queen an Emerson?

He actually found his knife in his work pouch today lol but yeah i did think about it, kinda scared me of thinking about sending a good amount of money on a knife that'll never see any use
 
for future purchases, the CS recurves (Rajah, Spartan, Vaquero...) are true affordable mules, hard working folders that take the abuse and ask for more. And that shape, darn is so sexy...

The ZT 350 is a fine work knife with a recurve. s30v steel. can be de assisted and opened manually w flipper or thumb stud. strong.
