I am looking to add a SMALL disc / belt sander to the bench. Mainly looking for something small just to true up scales before adhering them to blanks so im not looking to spend a ton of money. Who makes a decent setup for under $100?
It isn't small and its a little above your target price range, but the MicroMark 10" variable speed disc sander is great for scales. It runs at a relatively slow 280-480 RPM with plenty of torque - which means that you are less likely to overheat or burn your scale materials. It is the perfect tool for flattening scales.
