Need a Small Fixed Blade

glockman, you are one of the few who notices :) I know its the Campanion although most people type it as Companion. One of my friends thinks I make a typo every time I write Campanion, so I was just going with the flow :p

The only thing I might recommend is to get a custom made sheath for your Field Pup, because it is that great of a knife.

Or, you can protest the low quality sheath and not only not continue to use the knife, stop buying SOG products (which would be a shame, but understandable). I would recommend that you write, email or fax Spencer Frazer (President and CEO of SOG) to share your concerns. Unfortunately, knowing Spencer personally and what motivates him to manufacture the sheaths he does, your comments will fall on deaf ears. But I always hope he might finally “get it.”

Oh, by the way, contact Loretta or Mike in the Consumer Services Department (at the contact information above) and complain about your sheath. Hopefully you can get a replacement sheath under warranty.

Ron---I sent my two lousy sheaths back to Spencer's attention with a letter stating my displeasure. I got two identical lousy replacements in the mail. No letter of explanation. No improvements.

I am DONE with SOG. There are plenty of good manufacturers out there with excellent products and great customer service. I don't need to spend any more of my hard-earned money on SOG.

After watching some of Ray Mears' videos and reading his book I looked at the knife he designed and while nice can't see why the Ontario TAK wouldn't be as good or better for a whole lot less money. I have one on pre-order from the store here. Can't wait till they come in. It should be a great companion to my RTAK.
