I just bought a car with leather seats and the option of clipping my Sebenza to my pocket is out. What would be a good, high quality, EDC that would fit in my pocket without a clip. I thought about an Umfaan but finding one could be difficult. Any other ideas?

Give us a price range and we'll give you a bunch of suggestions.

One word.......Mnandi. Its a natural progression given your stated situation and preference for CRK knives. Take off the clip, put it in it's pouch and in your pocket it goes. ;)

Best one I can think of is a Fallkniven U2.

Good advice, there is a great choice of Mnandi's out there.

What about a fixed blade with a pocket sheath: BRKT Mikro II or a Gene Ingram?

Or you could clip the sebenza to your front pocket or wear it IWB...

good luck!

How 'bout the Ritter Mini-Griptillian? Not as fancy as a Sebenza, but still a highly regarded knife.

Try a WH Spire. I got one for graduation, and it's quickly grown on me. Its VG10 blade is a tad shorter than 2 1/2". I find myself taking it out of my pocket just so I can look at it.

Spyderco Kiwi w/black mother of pearl scales. (customized by Santa Fe Stoneworks)

I have to second the Ritter. I have the large and also ordered the mini yellow with the survival pack combo. Great knife..so I orded another mini for EDC. Shaving sharp out of the pack and the grip just feels right for my hand.

Yeah id say Mnandi. If not that u could get a BM 705/707 and remove the clip. Theyre pretty small. Nice knives. But why exactly cant u clip the sebenza to your pocket anymore?

Probably for fear of damaging the seats. I don't see why it can't be pulled out of the pocket when driving though.

Every Day Carry, which it really isn't because we all have more than one knife and switch them out.

What I', hearing is that you're carrying the knife in your back pocket and are worried about the clip tearing up your seats. If this is the concern, have you thought about moving your Sebbie to a front pocket. That's where I carry my clipped knives (Sebbie included). The clip never gets near my leather seats.
