Need a stone I can use to regularly sharpen 154 CM

I have some of those as well. Great stones; don't carry in the pocket as well as the Mini-Sharp and the Dia-Fold.

For home use, that double-sided Dia-Sharp in fine and extra-fine would be ideal with a stone-holder.

FWIW, I put a good edge on my "new-to-me" becker necker yesterday with sandpaper, then my fine and x-fine DMT's. The way I finally got a fine, shaving edge on this steel was to get the bevel in place with your regular edge-forward strokes in sets of 10-20 per side. Then after the bevel is worked in, I found with a low angle the interrupted surface can cause problems with edge forward, so I stropped alternating sides every stroke on the fine, then the extra fine stones. This produced a great edge, although took me a while to realize this, because I've ever had to do that with any other knive. I'm curious to see how this edge holds up now!

Alrighty then, thank you everyone, I'm going to go with the dia-sharp fine/extra fine!

I don't have a practice knife though... I can probably find one though.

One more question just came to mind: Will the fine/extra fine stone put micro-serrations on it, or is that just dependent on whether I try to do that or not?

micro-serrations are always present. Their size is relative to the finishing grit. For example, the micro serrations left by the XF side will be smaller than those left by the F side. Experimentation is about the only way to find the right finish for your uses; though most people generally prefer a finer finish.

Well, since I'll be then carrying 2 knives I was thinking I would put ... larger micro-serrations on the Leek, as a contrast to a finer 154CM blade.

Meh, so long as the Fine/Extra Fine will keep em sharp :)

Think I may end up buying a loupe too (whatever they're called).
