Need advice and input for my website

I have my Burl Source Website up and running but I could use some advice and input from you guys.

I don't want the website to just be a place that sells knife handle wood, even though that is the reason most people are going there. The basic structure of the site and the webstore are in place but I want to expand from there.

The areas I want to work on are:
1) A directory of custom Knifemaker websites.
2) Tutorials specific to making the handles for both fixed blades and folders. Also wooden sheaths and display cases.
3) An informational section about different types of wood, figure and spalting to include photo examples.

I can handle the wood info part on my own but need some help with the other two.

If you are a knifemaker, would you like to be included in the website directory?

Have you written anything like a tutorial about making and or finishing the knife handle, wooden sheaths or display cases that it would be ok to link to? Do you know anyone else who has?

In the short time I have been a member of this forum I have been amazed over and over with the talent of the members and their willingness to share information. So thank you in advance for your good help.

Your friend, Mark

You can use that short tutorial I did with the hidden tang knife. It has your wood in it too although I used a CA finish which is not neccesary for stabilized wood.

Thank you Bruce. I was thinking about that tutorial when I decided to do a section on making handles but didn't want to be pushy and ask.

Site looks good, Mark. The four pics at the top showing the raw material to finished block is a great idea.

I think I've decided which knife I'm going to use your sample block on. My camera is being finicky but if I can get it squared away, I'll do a WIP thread you can use on your site.

Thank You James. I will look forward to seeing what you can do. You took on a challenge with your piece of burl. I am sure it will turn out great.
A question I keep meaning to ask, How did you train that owl to wear a hat?

Any knifemakers who would like to be added to the directory are welcome. Just post your name and website address. I will be putting together the directory very soon.
Thanks, Mark
