Need Advice: Choosing a Safe

If your concern is more with being tampered with than stolen or destroyed in a fire, you could get away with a sturdy locked trunk. It wont keep out someone who really wants to get in. But will keep out the honest. For an added layer of protection gun locks are a simple and inexpensive solution. You could even leave the guns exposed but with locks and stick the knives in an inexpensive fire safe. No one will get hurt and it as easy as pie when moving time rolls around.

Hey Gravelface, the Sportsman 23 is the safe that I have. I live in an apartment also, so I couldn't really go any bigger. It is a great safe, I have only outgrown mine because of my long guns and the necessary high capacity ammunition feeding devices that go with them. If I didn't have so many rifles/shotguns it would have plenty of room w/o being too big for an apt. For knives and or handguns, there is actually room for a couple more shelves on that side of the safe. The top full size shelf holds a lot, mine is filled with pisto and rifle mags. If you want to email me and I will get you some pics of mine loaded up.

I just picked this small one up, just put a Ruck in the safe for a pic. I really did fill it up fast after I took the pic. No worries though, Ill upgrade again in a couple of years.
