Since I sold my Killa Zilla 2 last spring and since then Ive been dying to get another destroyer of worlds type chopper but Just havent had the funds to do so.

I want something I can split wood with in the back yard, chop down decent sized trees with, and just generally have a blast using.

Ive wanted an NMFBM for a long time and I am leaning towards it because its single edged and can be used as a knife. I think it should have plenty of chopping power.

The gladius however is Bad@$$ and would probably chop way better than the NMFBM. Im just scared of having a double edged blade and I already have a scrapizashi for pig hunting etc.. where you might actually use a sword in a practical sense.

Im looking for a beast of a blade that will blow through wood and I can have fun using.

I have a Rat Daddy, Junglas, and M9 as practical choppers that I actually take on the trail so I have that role filled.

So which should I go for? Either way Im going to end up selling about half my collection to get the funds but I really want a MONSTER chopper! Are there any other options I should look at?

I've had both. I sold my Gladius but don't think I could get rid of my NMFBM. The gladius is ridiculously cool but not really practical unless the zombocalypse happens. And now I have a Rucki for that...

NMFBM

NMFBM!!! I also have a gladius (which is AWESOME!) but can't seem to use it because I always opt for the NMFBM as the be-all-end-all. I want to hear about the hog hunting with the scrapazishi! Any pics?

Hell, just get a MOAB :D

I'd prefer a fat NMFBM over a Gladius though.

hey Kal, I would go with the NMFBM. I have neither, but the Gladius is more like a Colosseum battle sword and also more expensive. Yeah, it'd probably be fun to use, but I'm sure the NMFBM would be plenty fun, too.

And, well, do you really need a two whole kidneys?

The gladius however is Bad@$$ and would probably chop way better than the NMFBM.

Bigger does not always mean better chopper. It can sometimes mean better splitter, but not necessarily chopper. The gladius has a shorter distance to go from edge to full thickness, and it's edge is kept thicker than most busse models out there. Consider the FFBM vs. standard FBM. The FFBM seems like a better chopper because it's thicker and heavier - but that thickness hinders it's ability to sink into the wood. So you get the same depth of cut (or less) with more energy lost in the process.

I have both, and have thinned the Gladius edge, but the NMFBM is really a better wood chopper. It bites deeper.

But the MOAB rules.

The NMFBM is more practicle in public:eek::D

And it is more than enough chopper.

I'm going to go against the grain and say gladius just because i want one so bad lol. they are just so freaking sexy lol

For me, I'd vote the CG-FBM first and NMFBM as second. For me the FBM is the best combination of balance, weight, length, edge. It's the chopper I find easiest to handle and cut with. But...I'm not a big guy either. I've got no experience with the gladius but I'm betting it's too much blade for me.

sounds like you have alot of NMFBM like choppers but what you dont have is the best chopper Busse makes...the KZ2! someone tell me im wrong!

I had a ks II for a few months and while it was a beast I don't think the handle was for me and also the edge geometry wasn't ideal.

But it was a blast to use and tore through wood like nobodies business.

I think I will like the NMFBM much more.

SOS NMFBM!! Worth a try to get one of those. Since you arent a coating fan it is ready to go. I have no idea where I will get the money but I am hoping for one. I might have to part with a XM18.
