Need advice! NMFBM or Gladius?

The NMFBM is a proper usable tool/knife.

The Gladius is a cool thing to own and lot's of fun, but never as practical or usable as a NMFBM...........

I use mine to guard the still.............:D

I have an NMFBM but I have never owned a Gladuis, I think they look really cool but wonder about the practicality in use. I have an AK because it is really cool but honestly can't think of anything I could use it for other than Zombies :D

If you need to chop wood or have other jobs to do and can only choose one the the NMFBM would be my choice :)

I had a ks II for a few months and while it was a beast I don't think the handle was for me and also the edge geometry wasn't ideal.

But it was a blast to use and tore through wood like nobodies business.

I think I will like the NMFBM much more.

How did you like the fusion handles? If you liked the KZ format but didn't like the handles, I'd highly suggest the TTKZ. The fusion handles have a very thin pinky section that lets you roll the handle around in your hand, a bit like holding a tenis ball, but for me i end up smashing my punky and having the handle feel loose in my hand. The TTKZ is a good solid fit handle that has enough material at every finger position, and is tall relatively thin to give you a good sense of where the edge is.

Get the NMFBM, the gladius is a beautiful blade, and I've kept one just to have. But If I had to choose, the FBM can be batoned when chopping through thick wood, while the gladius can not. much more functional blade.

Of the two listed I have to go with the NMFBM!!! I think the Gladius is one slick blade but practical in the field it's not.

Ive decided Im going to get the NMFBM! Thanks for your advice everyone! Maybe one day Ill have a gladius too....its beyond badass. And LVC, I haven't felt the fusion handle yet but I think I will like it. I like the overall look of the NMFBM better than the TTKZ and also I think from the factory the NMFBM will not need to be modified to chop well. Ive seen alot of people send their KZ's back to the shop for a thinning down.

You will not regret getting a NMFBM, I think it will stand out as one of the best knives Busse ever made, I own two Busse knives, both are NMFBM and yes I have had other models in the past but the NMFBM is the one for me to keep.

I'd go with NMFBM, also hope to go for one soon, much more practical and is hell of a chopper and a knife.
Gladius is a bit more of an over sized stabber, as the original thing was. Funny enough that recently some movies and series were trying to sell gladius as a main Roman weapon... Rome has conquered a big part of the 'world' with spear and shield, gladius was more of a centurion weapon, say like a pistol for officers in WW1 and WW2, and given it's size it was not really intended for much more than finishing off the wounded and butchery in cqb.

I have both of the NMFBM and Gladius. The NMFBM would be my preferred choice for "general blasting use". The Gladius is nice to have for battle with my mother-in-law.
