:thumbup:Really cool machete thread!
thanks for all the info guys.
It reminded me how just before 2000 when i needed to sell off my original collection of knives (pay off school debt, don't feel too bad for me, I'm fulltime collecting again), I wanted to at least keep a big easy knife around.
I went to the local surplus and saw a typical bin filled with Machetes. Under 10 bucks w/o sheath (but should of got one).
Grabbed one, made a cheap cardboard/duct tape sheath and put it under the bed and never really "needed it".
This thread reminded me of it, so I went to check it out.
ONTARIO made in U.S.A. pretty sweet! But only 12 1/2" though, and 10" edge. Still easier in a home defense emergency than a small 4" bladed tactical folder!
All I want know is a sweet kydex sheath with a military sling like a few posts up. Will probably cost 4x more than the machete
