Need advice on scratched blade

Well the other day I was touching up my JYD on the DMT extra extra Fine stone and guess I wasn't
paying attention or maybe had too many Coronas but I ended up putting some nasty looking
scratches on the stonewashed blade. This knife is going to be a user but I pretty much just got it and
hate that the scratches came from my botched sharpening and not from normal use.

I wanted to know if there was a way to polish out the scratches without ruining the stonewash finish.
Or is that pretty much impossible because a stonewash is pretty much a million tiny scatches all over
the blade? Any help is much appreciated.

you got it, a stonewash is great for hiding the occasional use scratch but once you really scratch it there's not much you can do.

send a mail to Mr galyean he could throw the blade in the tumbler again but if you did this with a EEF i guess the picture is worst than what it looks IRL ... not sure it's worth it.

+1 on sending it back but i would check before taking the knife apart to send it back and make sure it will not void the warranty.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think I'll be fine with living with the scratches once I put it to more use. I heard Tim is almost impossible
to get in touch with ever since he started working in house at Kershaw again. Its a shame he put the Pro Series on hold as I think
they were some of the most well made knives on the market. On a positive note I have a Wicked Edge coming in next week so you'll
see no more sharpening scratches on my blades :)
