I’m interested in finding a smaller scale multi purpose knife. I really like the profile of the ASH 1 but I want something smaller. Like 60-70% the size of an ASH 1. What models should I be looking at? I’m more interested in designs shaped like the Nano Fusion Badger Attack and not really interested in long narrow designs like the Mean Street.IMG_0608.jpeg

I have a hog Badger on the exchange right now that has a way better ergonomic handle compared to the huge belly on the sob. It’s another option .

If you get one of those Pregnant SOB's (Sons of Badgers) You can always modify them :)
The less pregnant has a more pointy blade
I like the blade shape on the "regular" one

If what you like is not made......make it yours ;)

Try the Miller Bros M-8 Compact. It’s a mini Fat Ash-1 in my opinion.

Sized down version of our M-8 featuring a .28" thick blade.

10" Overall

5" Blade (including choil)

Blade is 1-5/8" at widest

...if you got the tools...

Yep Belt grinder is pretty handy.
does take some practice as well.

I wear a XXL glove so I need the extra handle circumference.

I wear an XXL or XXXL and I need less circumferance, so they work for me.

The bottom 2 in the 1st Pic are awesome! What are they?

SOB variants

Finger grooved one is long gone. finger grooves did not fit me.

The trailing point I ground the "skull crusher" off
Not a fan of those pokey bits on the end of my knives.
