HI I need advice or opinion on my next spydie.

My options are:

Foliage green cpm d2 para-millie
Foliage green manix.

Keep in mind that I don't own either in any other steels or colours. It will be

in my edc rotation and used for general tasks with sd in mind.:o

gine: the german rottweiler. (aka the rotty)

well, i have a mini manix and its and its built like a tank. easy to change grips and easy to keep in hand.

this would lead me to believe that manix is built like a ... really, really strong tank! but might be a bit big. also the lock is a big plus to me.

As much as I like the Manix, I'd say the Para for 2 reasons:

1) You'll carry it more due to the lighter weight and smaller size.

2) CPM D2 is a great steel. It takes a wicked sharp edge, holds it for a long time, and is easy to sharpen.

I would get the Para-Military for EDC, as the knife is lighter and easier to pocket.

I have a full-sized Manix and a Para-Military....I would go with the Para, if I were you. Mine has crowded all other knives out of my pocket and won't let 'em back in! I have almost 30 Spydies, but I keep on reaching for the Para.

If it is for "general task" first, then I'd say the Para. If it is for "self-defense" first, then I say the Manix. Both are good knives, I like the Manix better, but I don't mind carrying what some call a "heavy" knife. I carry a Chinook 3 everyday. If it seems "heavy" at first, at least carry it a few weeks, build your strength up. :)

Definitely the Para for EDC. I just got mine and absolutely love it. It's lighter than the Mini Manix and fits the pocket better. It'll also hold its own for SD.
