Hey guys... Hope I have this in the right spot. One day I would love to get into making my own folders, but until then I will have to practice on other skills :-)

So right now I have a craftsman 2x42 belt sander and was wondering what you would recommend for a jig with which I could do regrinds on? I realize that I will probably have to build it myself... But I don't know where to start. Any recommendations?

What are you referring to, when you say regrind? Fred

If you mean regrind as if you are regrinding a folder bevel, and ive never done such a thing, but I would build a mount that is made for each blade make and shape, and have that mount to a hinged contraption at a set angle, side to side as well as to and fro.

I am basically referring to being able to resurface the primary grind on a blade, whether fixed or a folder.

Catcalls, do you have any pictures of what you are talking about so I can get a better idea?

I do not, but a mental image... imagine a wicked edge, but the blade is the stone and the grinder is the blade.
