Need chopper, small machete type

and Sorry to the golok guys that posted to the design thread, i wasn't the only one that said it. wasn't trying to imply it eighter.

Instant, thanks for your help, I have narrowed it down to two from HI, the Ang Khola or the M43 !? Do you have any info (for or against) the M43? I have read thru the HI forum and from what You said, its really a no brainer. I just don't want to spend money on garbage. I was looking at the BRKT golock & machete, but this has really changed my mind. Now, If RC made one also, then that would be a different story! Thanks again for your help.

Nothing from HI is garbage. Due to each knife being individually hand-forged, they can vary a bit even with two examples of the same model. That being said, the M-43 is usually lighter than a comparable length AK. Another good one if you're looking for something that does well on light/soft vegetation is the Chitlangi.

Hm, I don't own a M43, but for what I understood, it seems to be a blend of weapon and tool, hence the lighter weight. So, while I find it a really pretty kukri, I would guess that the Ang Khola out-chops it. And I'm relly a big Ang Khola fan, so...

- camping, garden work, wood splitting, field work - Ang Khola
- the knife I'd take to war with me - still the 15inch Ang Khola

Greets!
