Need cold weather car door help...

Most of the automotive retailers carry these units. They mount under the dash between the driver and passenger side. They won't run up the electric bill if they are used only when really needed, like for an hour after a freezing rain to loosen up ice. If they are plugged in all night, then they will definitely run up the bill.

Jagged, that's an informative link.
I too have found that there is no bennefit to leaving an engine block heater plugged in for more than a couple of hours. We get the -30C weather around here, and 2 hours on the block heater makes engine start up easy, and any more plug in time doesn't make any real difference for the motor.

The problem with sticking door seals is that when they are wet, they freeze to the jamb. Silicone spray works just fine.

I use a bar of soap. Did it four years ago, now it's time again, cheap, works great, doesn't get grease on your clothing. Just rub it on the gaskets, done.

Sticking doors aren't unique to the Exploder, but they can give enough other reasons to sell them. They do have nice axles for Cherokees.

Ivory soap is all you need. Rub the seal and the place on the frame where the seals contact. Petroleum based products can degrade the rubber over time.
