ISO (left front pocket carry) Pocket Sheath for a Great Eastern Cutlery #H73210 Canoe Pattern Hunter
Currently I'm using a Sharpshooter Prudhoe Bay pocket sheath but it is unacceptable for several reasons
1) Way too much leather in the pocket.
2) The sheath prints and I wear mostly jeans
3) The sheath blade well is too large for this GEC hunter and I've had to jig the sheath with fishing line to narrow the opening
The custom pocket sheath should be no wider than 2 1/2 inches and about 5 1/4 inches tall. That would leave about 2 inches of handle out the top. The blade well could be centered in the sheath.
The width of 2 1/2 inches is the width of my Becker Necker BK11 sheath and Becker D'EsKaBar BK24 sheath and I easily pocket carry both those, so I know 2 1/2 wide would be perfect.
Well, that's my idea for one anyway.
The sheath could be leather or Kydex but I'd prefer leather since the knife is based on a traditional folder pattern rather than tactical or bushcraft.
Thank you for your consideration and replies
What I'm making do with in the mean time ...
Knife unsheathed ...
Great Eastern Cutlery's product photo (the thickness of the handle side to side is about 1/2 inch) ...
