ISO (left front pocket carry) Pocket Sheath for a Great Eastern Cutlery #H73210 Canoe Pattern Hunter

Currently I'm using a Sharpshooter Prudhoe Bay pocket sheath but it is unacceptable for several reasons
1) Way too much leather in the pocket.
2) The sheath prints and I wear mostly jeans
3) The sheath blade well is too large for this GEC hunter and I've had to jig the sheath with fishing line to narrow the opening

The custom pocket sheath should be no wider than 2 1/2 inches and about 5 1/4 inches tall. That would leave about 2 inches of handle out the top. The blade well could be centered in the sheath.
The width of 2 1/2 inches is the width of my Becker Necker BK11 sheath and Becker D'EsKaBar BK24 sheath and I easily pocket carry both those, so I know 2 1/2 wide would be perfect.
Well, that's my idea for one anyway.

The sheath could be leather or Kydex but I'd prefer leather since the knife is based on a traditional folder pattern rather than tactical or bushcraft.

Thank you for your consideration and replies :)

Brother Jim, there are several excellent makers who frequent this forum and any one of them could make you a fine sheath to your specifications, but most all (including me) would have to have your knife in shop in order to design, build and fit the sheath as it would be a true custom and not a factory one size fits all clone.

There is a "sticky" post at the top of this forum where many of the makers have posted their contact information and examples of their work. You might look through that and see if anything is of interest to you.

My contact information can be found at the bottom of this and every post I make.

Paul

Thanks Paul. I saw the sticky, but none featured fixed blade pocket sheaths that I saw or even expressed experience with pocket sheaths for fixed blades. I certainly don't have that experience and only offer a suggestion of what I think might work. A sheath maker may have their own best idea based on experience.

I was hoping the makers who frequent this forum might chime in rather than my contacting a whole bunch of people individually to try and find who might have ever made something like this before and know it to be a good product. I don't want to end up finding out someone can "get right on it" in 3-4 months to a year or so either Lol.

I would gladly send the knife for a true custom fit, and sheathed within the factory GEC sheath for the knife's safety during shipment as well as the safety of whomever opens the package.

I need a pocket sheath for this fixed blade. Who has the experience with something like this, wants to do it and can actually "get right on it" in a reasonable amount of time is the question.

Thanks Mark !!! I responded with some thoughts. :)
The clipped and carved pocket sheath you featured, just won't work for my carry situation. I wouldn't like a clip and handle exposed from my pocket. I need a true pocket sheath. Concealed carry as it were I guess one could say. ... but no I'm not looking for an IWB sheath either Lol ... pocket sheath.

This isn't my picture OR my knife and sheath. I saw this on another forum while looking for sheath ideas. The sheath shape is dang close if not exactly what I'm looking for to use with my GEC Hunter and it's some thick quality leather too. The only difference I might make is sewing the blade well lower to the bottom edge such as it is with the make do Sharpshooter sheath I'm using, because of the 7 1/4 overall length of the GEC Hunter
