get a pm2 with compression lock.

closest blade shape, good knife.

I don't like lockbacks, but otherwise the delica is an awesome knife. You won't have a problem with the handle being frn. I've had many frn spyderco's, and I've been pleased with them (and i wasn't nice to them)

Granted, I prefer G10 and full liners most of the time, but my manix 2 in frn is priceless when I don't want my jogging shorts to fall down due to the weight of the standard manix 2

Yep, +1 for the green ZDP Delica. If you spend a little time looking at it, you will find it has stainless steel liners, a very light weight, ridiculously hard steel, a great shape for the hand & cutting, hardly noticeable in the pocket and a great EDC knife. You may change your tune about the "plastic" in the grip if you use it for a while.

Here's an old "beater" Delica from years ago. I found it used with a trashed blade & have redone a few things, but the scales are riveted, so they're staying. It's a bit ugly, but the scales are still nice on the hand and not at all slippery. VG 10 is a good general purpose steel to work with, but the ZDP is outstanding, if you can deal with the sharpening aspects of it.

Oh I've sifted through their site way too many times. I am more curious about out of production stuff. I did find an FRN handle that I REALLY like today. Unfortunately the blade only comes in black and serrated. No and no. Has anyone ever replaced a black sabre blade with an uncoated blade (preferably FFG)??? I'm really liking the idea of doing that if it's possible. This knife handle is suuhhexy!

lol,I know it was already pointed out to you on the last page, but I feel I need to reiterate:

the handle you just pictured and called sexy is the SAME EXACT handle you said you could not stand in your original post.

lol. way to judge a book by low quality photographs of its cover...

Goodeyesniper, oh and this?

Spyderco's...
are basic and very utilitarian looking. straight to the point. (I will probably buy 1 someday.)
most are full flat ground
most are full flat ground, rarely anthing else with style. no black, no partial serrations, no choices
Spiders are stupid.

Haha yeah, I've been biting my figurative tongue since this isn't really the place.

We should really avoid feeding the trolls. Shiny footprints and what not.

Shiny footprints is what I had in mind when "biting my tongue." Maybe your footprints have more a sheen to them than mine.
Still though, people have given thoughtful, legitimate suggestions to the op-- I even did earlier in this thread.
I honestly had not realized the op was considered troll at this point... just thought they were a wee bit confused with what they like/don't like.
Maybe the joke's on me!

HEEEEY, I just got done hatin on Spyderco in the good ol benchmade vs spyderco thread and that got me thinking that I need to buy one again. I kinda like the Delica but would like it in something other than the plastic handle. What else is out there?

Need: Different knife with same blade or the name of other Delica models with other handle materials. Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't buy a Spyderco. If you feel like you want a Spyderco, do us all a favor and forget about it. Buy a BM instead.
