Need flashlight-gift help!

I'd get him a Streamlight SL-20X. It's about 3D Maglite size. They come with two charging sleeves so he can mount one inthe truck and one at his house

I second that. a 20x or even the larger version (I think its a 35x)
Both are rugged tough, bright, cost very little to run, and are in a size and package that your friend is Familiar with.And I think they come in saftey yellow also.
