There’s plenty of stag in production knives ....just look at Case and other slipjoint knives

The difficulty is finding large pieces of well matched quality stag for knives the size of flippers. Easier for smaller slipjoints like Case

These are new. Get one and commission someone like @glennbad to do a scale replacement with stag.

Good stag is actually really hard to get now.. Stag doesn't seem especially popular for the crowd interested in flippers either.. I think it's easier for makers to get micarta and carbon fiber which seems preferable (from what I've noticed) in the modern folding knife world. It really wouldn't make sense for a modern production company to get into. Learning to work stag is a tough skill from what I've read...traditional companies like Case and GEC use it because it comes with the territory and traditional collectors (me) like stag. So basically it's hard to obtain, expensive, takes time to work properly, and not a lot if demand. Makes sense for custom makers but not so much for production..

It's my favorite handle material and has so much character, warmth I've never experienced on a titanium frame lock... so I hope you find something that fits the bill.

Here's the closest thing I have to a modern with stag.. it's not a flipper.. no pocket clip.. but it's one of the finest knives in my collection and I felt weird buying a knife with thumb studs for the first time in a long time..

Nice knife. Since I started looking for a stag flipper it is apparent that there is a lot of interest among the people I have spoken to for a stag flipper. In this day and age I would think that although may be a little difficult someone would have come up with a production model. Hooey makes one but is stag on only one side. I know there is a stag flipper out there it’s just a matter of finding it.

If the people on this board can't find one to your satisfaction, it probably isn't out there.

Stag can't be machined in the same way or the same scale that other materials can be. It needs to be carefully worked on by hand or with specialized tools. So it's relegated to the realm of traditional and other handmade and custom knives.
