I'm looking for hollow Chicago type screws...

They look like screwposts with hollow sleeves instead of solid screws...

I know I've seen them before...Does anyone know where I can buy them?

Thanks.

Mike, what material are you thinking of? I have two sources. One is a machines aluminum post and head/screw with a fairly large head that is very flat and works with a flat-blade screwdriver. My source makes these in bare aluminum, several anodizend colors (red, black, clear anodized, etc) and they are employed commonly by the airplane industry! The company is based in Canada, but they ship from Vermont, so no funky taxes, conversions, etc. Price is excelletn, product is good, shipping is fast, and you can get as many as you want from 1 to a billion!
My other source, which uses the same aluminum posts but employs a smaller, angled steel (black coated) screw (philips head) is Blade-Tech. They sell in lots of 100, I think, and I have pretty much switched over to these because the black hardware looks better on black sheaths, and they are smaller. Prices are decent, and the screws are really nice. Blade-Tech has a website, but you'll have to email if you want that aluminum source because I don't have the info right now. http://www.blade-tech.com
On a side not, I am finished reviewing the Little Pup neck knife you sent. I need to scan and upload pics, then write it up, so I would expect it in the next week.

Are these the kind that are hollow, like an eyelet, so I can run cord through them? This is the product I'm looking for...

However. I would be interested in the colored screwposts as well, can you post or send me that address?

Glad you got the "PUP" alright, looking forward to hearing what you have to say about it...

BTW, the "Happy Camper" is ready, more or less...see a picture at:

I hope to have a web site up for it after this weekends' gun and knife show...

Thanks for your help!

Running Dog, those ones I mentioned are not hollow. Probably your best bet is to find a fastener specialist in your area and give an exact description of what you are looking for. They will usually be able to find something pretty darn close if it exists.

RUNNINDOG, why don't you just get some thick walled tubing in nickle silver or stainless, and a fine thread die and make them yourself?? Doesn't sound that difficult really. Take care! Michael
