Need help - Breeden pics and suggestions.

ON that pathfinder (and Canadian models) what is the advantage of the hump on the top of the spine?

TF

That has often been discussed and I don't know if a solid conclusion has ever been reached, but I just like the look. :D As far as the Pathfinder goes though, I've found it to have the most comfortable and ergonomic handle design of any knife in my collection (not only Breeden).

I like the hump when slicing or choking up on the blade. It makes it easier to scrape sliced media off the cutting board, kind of a spatula-like thing, and it puts more steel up near the front of the blade which makes it easier to hold onto for fine work with the tip of the knife. That's what I use it for, anyway.

Hi all,

Yep Jason you are in a pickle:D that is for sure LOL.

Thank you all for the kind coments on the knives I make and the great pics that you have posted.

here is the sheath I am going to make like this one for the curvy handle pathfinder but I am going to put a pouch for the sharpener and one for the firesteel that I want to carry with this type of sheath.

Since you are fond of the pathfinder T, here are some action shots for you. This was performed within about 5 minutes of opening my first set of Breeden's. Since you are on a madman, budget-out-the-window knife buying spree right now ;) - you should probably just order two from Bryan right off the bat. That is what I usually do :D

KGD,

Actually Brian and I have a barter deal going right now. I am helping make a component for one of future knives - so we are going to trade work for work.

However, he makes some really cool stuff - so it is going to be hard to decide.

I like the curvy handle of the Pathfinder above. That is looking great.

I have a Kelly knife that I fell in love with, I am sure you will too. Its a great knife.

I like bigger blades, so I think I will end up moving mine for the Peace maker. In the end, any and all of his knives rock.

Just pick the one you feel like today.
Or pick one that will be perfect for the spring thaw (when it decides to arrive)
It probably won't be your last Breeden.

Bryan, that new handle looks like it will be great. Geez I like that knife!!!

Hi all,
Ken I keep looking at the pics you posted of your pathfinder and the wood you split up. It makes me want to go out and do some LOL Maybe on todays walk with kelly girl I will do a little battoning. There is a spot here on the farm that when we get there Kelly Girl spends here time just sniffing the grass area. I have time to gather some wood split some up, make a fire and have a cup or two of coco before kelly Girl moves decides that is time to move on LOL We are going to head there this morning. :D

Protourist Thanks for the comments on the handle change on the knife.
I hope to have the handles on by Friday night. I have a different shoulder bag that I have been keeping my wildcraft kit ( on Pg 18 Horace Kephart tells his thougths on Wildcraft LOL ) in. The sheath that I posted earlyer that is a vertical and horizontal carry and right or left hand. ( that sheath came from a drawing a customer sent to me to have one done for his pathfinder knife that he ordered. )I am going to put one on my shoulder strap to run in line with the strap when I get the knife done. I can hardly wait.

Bryan
