Need help buying Kitchen knives for a present

The original post is from over 12 years ago. I bet they figured it out already.
Well I hadn't paid attention to the date, just trying to offer a suggestion. I'd bet it's time for them to buy a new set, so maybe they will check them out 😁

Cutlery and more has a sales/close out section…. I’ve gotten all my Enso knives from there

As a chef, I think Henckels and wustof are very good knives.
Don't buy a set, just buy the chef knife, pairing knife, and maybe bread knife.
This, and a butcher knife, and steak knives for the table. No serrated knives. And a good sharpening kit of your choice is mandatory.

Hahaha. Definitely in need of a new set, just built one knife at a time. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤡 They can definitely afford a couple of customs after 12 years, right?
