Need help buying knife

Hi all,

Long time member here, although I have not been active for quite some time. I am still a collector and user though. ;)
Here's my problem: the knife I'm looking for is for sale only on Amazon.com, as far as I can tell. And those sellers won't ship to the Netherlands. I have had this problem before, and always there was a friendly US member who would buy the knife for me, and then ship it to me. There is nothing illegal about it, not legally nor tax wise. It is just a matter of Amazon.com (which is at the moment the only place where this knife is for sale) not shipping knives to the Netherlands.

If you are interested in helping, here is how it would go. I would send you the money via Paypal, for both the price of the knife and for shipping. You would then send it to me. I would add a percentage as a thank you, and for the inconvenience. That's it. Hope to hear from someone.
 
OP - it's better that you explicitly state who will take how much of the responsibilities if the knife gets lost/stolen/confiscated/damaged before it reaches you.
 
Get a custom made knife. It will be better than the Amazon Knife. Get the real deal from a European or American dealer in the Fixed blades or folding knives section of this board.

I am in America but have gotten knives from Romania, Croatia and Greece. A lot of good American makers some willing to ship overseas. Screw Amazon who won't ship knives. Let it be their problem, not yours.

It is in fact an inexpensive Chinese made knife, but it has good reviews. Eafengrow EF55.
I would take on all responsibilities of course. If the knife got lost somewhere, I wouldn't even expect whoever helped me to find out what happened. It either works or it doesn't. I'd still be grateful. 👍

Thanks, as somebody already said, seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through for that, but the heart wants what it wants I guess.
Edited to add that maybe we shouldn’t be so judgy - especially me. There’s a lot of stuff I like that other people would probably find ridiculous.
 
Lots of buyers outside of the US use a shipping service that receives packages at a US address and then forwards them to international addresses, that might be something to look into
 
Yeah, looks like that'll have to be the way. Even the sellers on Aliexpress don't even reply to my enquiries, and that's an official Eafengrow store...
