I am sure you guys get this all the time. I am new to quality knives. Need a great folder for everyday carry. Need a Survival knife. Need a Hunting knife. Which is the utmost best...for the money. Thanks.

Wow, that depends on your budget. What's a lot of money to you may not be that much to me and vice versa.
If you're looking for one knife for all you mentioned, I'd recommend the plain Sebenza. It'll last a lifetime, and if something should happen to it, send it in and they will make it new again.
I'd recommend Strider, if it it not for the owner being a fake, P.O.S, Poser. Not to mention the Striders waste about 1" of blade length for that useless Choil.

Some great folders for EDC:
Spyderco Endura 4
Victorinox (pick your flavor)
Spyderco Byrd (pick another flavor)

All of the above are affordable and quality with great warranties. Plus the prices are good as if you lose or one is confiscated, damage, you are not out big bucks.

Survival knife

Onatario Rat-3 or 4

Bark River knives (pick another flavor, I like the Bravo-1)

Solid knives for chopping digging or whatever comes up in the wild.

Hunting knife

Bark Rivers (again). Their Hunting Series has some blades built for skinning deer or whatever. Plus, a solid knife you can have for years.

All of these can be had, depending on your budget, without breaking the bank. Hope this helps.

Ya see what I mean?
If you ask that question you'll get responses from the above who obviously have no experience with anything you need. Aside from the Spyder Endura.
Notice how he transited from Folders to Fixed, when you plainly and clearly asked for a folder.
Just wait til the Strider worshippers chime in.HeHe
That'll turn this place into a real circus.

I would get a nice light folder for daily EDC and a quality fixed blade for everything else. Spyderco/Benchmade/Emerson for folder... those are high quality but won't break the bank. Then with the leftover get a decent fixed blade like an Ontario/RAT.

For a survival knife, it's hard to beat a Cold Steel Bushman, and it's only $20.

Which is the utmost best...for the money.
That one doesn't exist. If it did, everyone would buy it. And toss the rest.
In the real world people buy the knife they like most, for any of a number of reasons of combination thereof.
After a while they discover that they need some other knife too. Etc.

People who like knives usually end up with a bunch of them. Just like most if not all of the people who participate here.
Before too long you'll be in the same boat if I interpreted your post correctly.
Welcome to the club. :D

The OP didn't explicitly request folders for all three. He did however specifically request a folder recommendation for EDC. Followed by survival and hunting.

To the OP:
For EDC ($30-110): Spyderco Tenacious, Kershaw Skyline, Kershaw OD-1, Zero Tolerance ZT0350

For survival ($60-135+): Becker BK-2 or RATs

For hunting ($30-40): Buck 119 Special

Now I am emphasizing the "for the money" part of your request. So I am assuming your are on a budget. Otherwise I'd think you'd ask for "the utmost best", period.

You guys are just stabbing at the wind at this point. Without some frame of reference to budget this thread is useless.

No price point stated::: I'd recomend a Loveless Stag handle drop point for hunting. A bargain in the $4,500.00 price range. I can't afford one, but maybe you can.

I think AR fan would like to see some numbers. :D

Given the OP's relative newness to quality knives, it might be best to hold off on the Strider, Sebenze, Busse, etc. recommendations. He asked:

Need a great folder for everyday carry. Need a Survival knife. Need a Hunting knife. Which is the utmost best...for the money. Thanks.

Value for the dollar is relative to the individual, but here are some of my brand picks for "good value" in the three categories mentioned. They repeat some of the recommendations already made:

EDC folder: Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw. All put out a good knife at a fair price.
Survival: Kabar Beckers and RAT knives. Same as above. Good knives. Not going to break the bank.
Hunting: Buck. Buck's been doing hunting blades for a long time, and they know what works.

Without reference to price or specific uses, I would like to simply direct the OP to Spyderco's website. If you browse through their catalog, you'll find a knife for anything you could ask a knife to do. They don't make bad knives, everything they produce is excellent. You can't go wrong with Spyderco.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

(edit) Please note that the prices on Spyderco's site are MSRP. I would recommend looking around elsewhere online before ordering directly from their site. You might find a better deal. ;)

edc folder: Spyderco, benchmade, kershaw. All put out a good knife at a fair price.
Survival: Kabar beckers and rat knives. Same as above. Good knives. Not going to break the bank.
Hunting: Buck. Buck's been doing hunting blades for a long time, and they know what works.

+100!

Thanks fellas. I have seen some totally awsome knives tonight. I think the Sebenza, and the Zero tolerance/stridor ZT 0121 will be new folders of mine. I already own a Buck Alpha hunter that was a gift. I also own a cheaper red catagory benchmade folder. It has the AUS-8 steel. Yes, I chipped the blade and don't even remember when. I just wanted to upgrade. So I will clarify my request.
I want a folder for everyday use. Around 100-150.00. I am really hard on this particular knife. If I need to spend more....So be it! But it will get used. No WOOsy knives!
I want a Hunting/Survival/Camp knife with a 7-10 inch blade. Probably need to keep it around 200 dollars.
Last How about a good skinner? Same price range.
AND......I could never understand buying a LOVELESS knife

Hi drtree, I saw you mention a Camp knife. I have a Camillus Becker BK-7 with Dark green Micarta scales. Other than being razor sharp, it's ANIB.
If interested lemme know.

the basic spyderco endura 4 is one of the best all around folders around.
there is also the new spyderco stretch 2 in frn which looks to be even better than the endura.

the endura may not look special, but its tough, and reliable.
