Need help deciding between a Spyderco Para 3 or Delica 4...

Oh, I thought you said an ENDURA or a PM3. I was gonna say. That would be a little more of a battle.
Para 3 with some groovy steel, or K390 at least if you get a Delica.

Another vote for the delica. Even if you go with vg10 it’s extremely easy to sharpen

I would also like to suggest a Sage 1 or 5.

Get both if you can. Otherwise I would start with a Delica. I have two Delica 4 and carry one every day. It works well for me.

Both are great. Both can be opened and closed easily one handed, although the Para 3 will be more fidget friendly/fun.

The Delica is a bit better slicer, Para 3 is a bit more robust, although the tip is more fragile.

You can't go wrong either way.
Very interesting, as I’m also thinking about the Delica 4. Good thing you pointed out the fragile tip of the Pata 3. At $92 shipped (where I live) for a Delica, a decision needs thought through well.

i wanted to like the para 3 lw and it did feel good in hand, but also felt flimsy to large degree. Perhaps irrational, but something flexy like a bugout doesn't appeal to me. I sent it back and could not get over why skeletonizing the inner liner portion of the frn scales/ would make that much of a weight difference. I just went with a delica 4 lw instead. The handle feels substantial and the overall balance is better. The para3 lw was blade heavy. The delica is more pocket friendly, sharp enough, and is confidence inspiring for a smallish knife. I wanted a made in the US option, but have a para (1) and didn't really want a g10 2 or 3. I don't collect tools, and just use everything. More options aren't always better in life. (blasphemy)
