SERE 2000 all the way! First time I picked this knife up I knew it was something else. I think we would have heard more about this one if it had not been introduced at the same time so many others were. The fit and finish are simply amazing for a knife that cost $120.00. The G-10 slabs have a grippy finish and cover some of the thickest stainless liners I have seen on a production knife. The VG-10 blade is a spearpoint design which has proven to be a useful day in day out tool for me. This thing opens like it was sitting on greased ball bearings!
The clip does allow for the deepest pocket carry of all mentioned. The only complaint I have deal with the thumbstuds that are a bit too small but nothing you can't live with. All in all a great knife that you will be proud to own and use.

I decided on the SERE 2000. Hopefully it will keep me happy for a few weeks at least. Thanks agian for all of the feedback.

Good choice that is what I was going to recommend. I have the military and it feels flimsy next to the Al Mar SERE 2000.
